What we’re looking for

We’re looking for an experienced Lead Web Analyst to join our Measurement & Impact team and help our clients use data to make better decisions.

This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who combines strong technical analytics expertise with strategic thinking and brilliant client skills. You’ll work with clients to understand what they’re trying to achieve, define what good measurement looks like, and make sure their data is genuinely helping them understand performance and make better decisions.

You’ll be equally comfortable getting into the detail of GA4, GTM, tracking and complex datasets as you are leading a client workshop, presenting to senior stakeholders or shaping a measurement roadmap.

You’ll also play an important role within our Measurement & Impact team – setting standards, sharing knowledge, supporting and developing other analysts, and helping us evolve our analytics offering.

Ultimately, we’re looking for someone who cares about what happens after the data is collected: what does it tell us, what should we do differently, and how can it help our clients create more impact?

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading analytics and measurement projects for clients, from defining the approach through to implementation, analysis and recommendations.

  • Working with clients to define measurement frameworks, KPIs and tracking strategies that connect their digital activity with the outcomes they’re trying to achieve.

  • Designing and leading complex GA4 and Google Tag Manager implementations, including migrations and larger tracking projects.

  • Bringing together data from different sources to build a more complete picture of user behaviour and performance.

  • Designing dashboards and reporting approaches that give senior stakeholders useful, actionable information rather than data for data’s sake.

  • Digging into performance to understand what’s really driving change, challenging assumptions and helping clients ask better questions of their data.

  • Working confidently with large and complex datasets, cleaning and structuring data so it can be analysed effectively.

  • Comfortable working with BigQuery and other data warehouses, as well as CRM and customer data.

  • Using automation, scripting and AI where useful to make our analysis and processes smarter and more efficient.

  • Leading workshops, training sessions and presentations with clients and senior stakeholders.

  • Building trusted relationships with clients, acting as a senior advisor on data, analytics and strategy.

  • Setting and improving standards around tracking, QA, data quality and ways of working across the team.

  • Coaching and supporting other analysts, sharing knowledge and helping the team continue to develop.

  • Contributing to new business opportunities, including proposals, pitches and helping shape new pieces of work.

  • Sharing your knowledge and ideas internally and externally, helping us continue to develop our thinking and profile in measurement and analytics.

About you

You’ll already be an experienced business or digital analyst who’s comfortable taking ownership of complex client work and providing direction to others.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Expert-level knowledge of Google Analytics, including best practices, tracking strategies and combining the GA data with multiple data sources.

  • Advanced Google Tag Manager expertise and a strong understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

  • Experience designing scalable, maintainable tracking implementations and simplifying complex GTM containers.

  • Strong Looker Studio and data visualisation skills, including designing dashboards for senior stakeholders and blending multiple datasets.

  • Confident working with large and complex datasets, with experience using BigQuery and Marketing Intelligence platforms to join, structure, clean and analyse data.

  • A strong understanding of data quality, QA, governance, consent and compliance.

  • Excellent analytical skills – you can look beyond what happened to understand why it happened and what someone should do next.

  • Experience defining KPIs, benchmarks and meaningful measures of success.

  • Confidence using more advanced analytical approaches where appropriate, such as forecasting, benchmarking and regression concepts.

  • Strong client-facing experience and the confidence to lead workshops, training and presentations with senior stakeholders.

  • The ability to explain complex technical or analytical ideas in a way that makes sense to non-specialists.

  • Experience setting direction and balancing strategic thinking with getting things done.

  • A collaborative approach and genuine interest in coaching, mentoring and helping others develop.

  • Commercial awareness and an interest in contributing to pitches, proposals and the continued growth of our analytics work.

Most importantly, you’ll be curious. You’ll challenge assumptions, ask good questions and care about making sure the work we do leads to something useful – not simply another dashboard or report.

What we offer

  • Become a co-owner of Torchbox, shape our success and share in the rewards

  • Work with awesome clients doing rewarding, purposeful work

  • Competitive salary + annual review + bonuses

  • Ethical pension scheme, with a 6% contribution from Torchbox

  • Health schemes and access to mental health support
